Sadhana is a daily spiritual practice that allows us to energize and balance the body, to clear the mind and the subconscious. It’s a self-discipline in which we confront the tendencies of the mind and ego and invite the Soul and our intuition to thrive. Sadhana, in its essence, is a process of refinement, development and mastery of the Self. There are many forms and techniques used to create the experience known as Sadhana. Each tradition of mastery, whether it be yoga, martial arts, or other performing arts, has explored and refined techniques that lead to the greatest progress for the individual, in the least amount of time, toward the goals of that tradition. In Kundalini Yoga, the goal is

Rendez-vous at 5AM on the dirt parking just past Le Toiny Hotel on the right, at the top of the hill, where there is a sort of mini-roundabout. We will gather here and then hike to the peninsula and settle down on the plateau, overlooking the sea and the surf spot, where we’ll delve into the practice.
– yoga mat
– blanket for deep relaxation
– layers of clothing (to insure warmth before sunrise & lighter wear for the hike back when the sun is high)
– plenty of water
Aquarian Sadhana lasts approximately 2 1/2 hours and the structure looks a little something like this:
20min of meditative listening to the sacred text of Japji
1hr of yoga (kriya & deep relaxation)
62min of chanting meditation (7 mantras of Aquarian Sadhana)
Outside of chanting, sadhana is a practice that is meant to take place in the greatest possible silence. Please make use of this silence to truly go deeply within during your practice. Make it your own and authentically “feel” every moment of it. Only minimal instructions will be given for the kriya and none at all for the chanting meditation. You will be provided with the lyrics for the 7 mantras and are encouraged to participate enthusiastically! Chanting is a way to liberate yourself, to unleash your inner voice…please do so uninhibitedly!
I highly encourage you all to give this Sadhana a try. It is a powerful, cleansing, transformative experience and the majestic beauty of Saint Barth’s natural settings only make it more memorable!
